For Parkinson's UK
Parkinson’s changes lives. From the day of diagnosis, people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones need to know we’re by their side.
We need your help to provide personalised information, services and opportunities, from day one, to many more people affected by the condition.
In Henfield, we have a cafe for people with Parkinson’s and their friends and families to come and informally get to know other people in their situation. The cafe takes place on the last Tuesday of the month from 10.30am-12pm at the Henfield Haven so people can just pop along for a cuppa and an informal catch-up and chat. We’re looking for an activity leader to help run the sessions. Everyone pays for their own refreshments so the activity leader will just need to contact the cafe to make sure there is a space available each month and greet people when they arrive.
You need to be living the Parkinson’s UK values – people-first, uniting, pioneering, driven. - Have strong administrative skills, communication and IT skills in order to ensure smooth running of the group. - Are collaborative and team focused, as you will need to gather and distribute information to everyone involved - Have a positive attitude to making things happen in the local community - Are motivated and reliable, with strong organisational skills in order to support the group - Are enthusiastic and friendly, as you will be representing both the local group and Parkinson's UK
