For Wilder Horsham District, c/o Sussex Wildlife Trust
Who are we?
Wilder Horsham District is a pioneering partnership project between Sussex Wildlife Trust and Horsham District Council. We work closely with local communities and landowners to reverse the decline in wildlife by creating and connecting habitats to deliver a Nature Recovery Network for the Horsham District.
The Role
Would you like to support wildlife to thrive in your area? By joining Wilder Horsham District on a work party, you can! We visit privately-owned sites through the District, helping the landowners to achieve large tasks they can't do themselves, such as hedge laying, scrub management and invasive species removal.
Volunteer days run from 10am-3pm. There is always at least one staff member supervising the work. Many of our work sites are very rural and are not always accessible by public transport. Car-sharing with other volunteers may be possible.
Wilder Horsham District is a partnership between Horsham District Council and Sussex Wildlife Trust. You will be signed up as a volunteer with the latter, receiving an induction and ongoing support and development opportunities, such as talks and trainings.
Moderate physical mobility and strength required - we provide tools and training.
