For Southwater Computer Club
Who are we?
Southwater Computer Club was set up in September 2025 by Southwater Community Partnership to help local people navigate their way through the world of technology. We meet every Tuesday morning 10am - 12pm at the Laurie Apted Building in Southwater, where volunteer mentors assist members on a one to one basis.
The Role
The Southwater Computer Club is looking for friendly, patient volunteers to join our team of mentors. We meet weekly to help local residents - mostly seniors - gain confidence using their phones, tablets, and laptops. The sessions are informal, social, and rewarding. There’s no obligation to attend every week - just come along when you can.
As a mentor, you’ll be helping people with everyday tasks such as sending emails, using apps, browsing the web, and staying safe online. In return, you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of making a real difference in your community, meeting new people, and even learning a few new tech tricks yourself!
