Volunteer Shop Assistant - New Horsham Carfax Shop

We are relocating our charity shop in Horsham from the Bishopric to a brand new shop in Horsham's Carfax. This will be located in the old Post Office, right at the heart of the town centre and will be home to a mini bookshop, our Catherine's Bridal shop, and has extra floor space for us to stock and sell second-hand furniture.

We are looking for volunteer shop assistants to help in our new larger shop and if you would like to gain experience in retail, window dressing and customer service, or are simply looking for a rewarding way to meet people and help a local charity, we would love to hear from you.

Shop assistants enjoy a fun and varied role - from sorting and pricing donations to manning the till and assisting customers. These are great opportunities if you enjoy working with the public and have fantastic customer service skills.

What skills do I need?

• Minimum age of 14 (parent/guardian consent and a child employment permit may be required).
• Good communication skills, being sociable, cheerful and courteous in all you do.
• A caring approach.
• Ability to support as part of a team.
• Ideally able to give one shift a week.
