Youth and Children's Work

Southwater Youth Project are looking for awesome people who have energy, enthusiasm and a desire to help and walk alongside the children and young people of our community.

• To help and encourage them to be the best they can be.
• To share their skills and passion, to help children and young people to feel part of the community.
• To feel valued, to listen to them.
• To help give them opportunities to step out of their comfort zone and take risks.
• To build confidence and self-esteem.

We are looking for volunteers for a variety of sessions, some more specific and more just general. We like volunteers to offer either weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We are also looking for emergency and holiday cover.

Along with needing volunteers for the face to face youth work, we are also looking for people willing to work behind the scenes to help keep SYP operational, maybe you have gifts in fundraising and would like to help/join the fundraising team includes applying for funding through bid applications as well as planning fundraising events. Or maybe you would be interested in being a trustee, we are looking for new trustees with a passion for youth work in our community.
