For Leith Hill Place - National Trust
Who Are We?
We protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. Many millions share the belief that nature, beauty and history are for everyone. So we look after the nation's coastline, historic sites, countryside and green spaces, ensuring everyone benefits.
Leith Hill is set within the Surrey Hills, and from the Tower rising majestically above the surrounding hills you can see sweeping views towards London in the North and the English Channel in the South. The top of the Tower is the highest point in South-East England. Leith Hill is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is home to an abundant wildlife. It’s also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The Role
Our Food and Beverage volunteers understand the importance of a little sit-down, and help visitors to relax, refuel and refresh during their visit to Leith Hill Place. This includes duties such as:
Warmly welcoming people and serving food and drink with a smile.
Keeping the kitchen and tea room clean and tidy, cleaning tables, using the dishwasher and helping with the end of day clear up. Following food hygiene and health and safety and evacuation procedures so we keep visitors safe.
