For The Phoenix Stroke Club
Who Are We?
Phoenix Stroke Club is a small, friendly local charity supporting stroke survivors from the surrounding area. We organise a variety of sessions and groups where members can meet others who have experienced similar challenges, enjoy social activities and, most importantly, have a bit of fun.
The Role
Our sessions are supported by a wonderful team of volunteers, and we are now looking for someone who enjoys cooking and could spare a few hours on a Thursday to help prepare lunch for our members.
What would you be doing?
The Thursday session runs from 12pm to 2pm, with lunch usually served at around 1pm. You don't need to be a professional cook — just someone who enjoys cooking and would like to share that enjoyment with others.
You will be fully supported, and we will help with anything you need to feel comfortable and confident in your role.
Phoenix Stroke Club is a lovely community. Our sessions bring enjoyment, friendship and connection to our members — and our volunteers tell us they get just as much from being part of it.
Come and visit us for a chat, meet the team and see what we are all about. We'd love to meet you!
