For Horsham Hospital League of Friends
Who Are We?
Since 1959 the League of Friends has been providing vital support to Horsham Hospital and other Community Groups for the benefit of members of the local community in need of health and wellbeing care. The charity has a board of trustees which runs the organisation in conjunction with a team of dedicated volunteers, some of whom support the trustee board and attend committee meetings.
The charity runs a successful tea bar and shop in Horsham Hospital and conducts fundraising through various events including an annual summer fete in the Hospital grounds. We are entering an exciting phase for the charity looking to provide even greater support to health and wellbeing services around the local community.
The Role
We have opportunities for new trustees to replace board members retiring by rotation. Appointments are for a three year term with re-election possibilities at the end of term.
This is an exciting time for this long established and respected local charity as we look to provide even greater support to our local Hospital and community organisations.
Whilst enthusiasm, commitment and interest in community health and well being needs are of primary importance, particular experience and skills in the following areas would be welcome: Health and Well-being Financial, Legal and Communications/advertising Administration
